A dynamic and seasoned professional in the entertainment industry with extensive experience spanning over six decades. Tom's career has led him across the country — from Newport, Rhode Island to Charleston, South Carolina to Venice, Florida — directing acclaimed productions, assuming leading roles, and executing large-scale live events including Super Bowl Halftime Shows and Rolling Stones tours.
Tom studied under some of the greats: Stella Adler, Burt Reynolds, Charles Nelson Reilly, and Avery Schreiber. His career began at age six when he was cast in a toothpaste commercial on The Bozo the Clown Show in 1960 — and he hasn't stopped since.
When the pandemic shut theaters dark in 2020, Tom did what any theater person does when the curtain won't rise — he found another way to create. What began as a way to stay creatively alive during lockdown became a new calling. After spending decades bringing other people's words to life, he discovered he had plenty of his own to share. He is now a produced playwright with over 100 original works spanning full-length plays, one-acts, ten-minute plays, monologues, and musicals.
Tom is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and publishes through ERB Publishing. He is based in Venice, Florida, where he also teaches playwriting at Lemon Bay Playhouse.
"Every show I've directed, every role I've played, every actor I've mentored — it was all preparation for this moment. I'm ready to share my own voice with the world, drawing on sixty-plus years of living, learning, and loving this impossible, irresistible art form we call theater."
